Dropship is an order fulfillment method that accepts customer orders without keeping stock on hand. In most cases, these items are fulfilled directly by the manufacturer or a specific fulfillment partner rather than your primary 3PL.
Marking an item as dropship-only keeps it off your 3PL's picking and packing manifests without disrupting normal order flow. It also prevents the item from being marked as backorder, since your 3PL won't have the inventory on hand to fulfill it.

How to Mark Your Products as Dropship-Only
- In your Portal, click Products.
- Select the product you want to set as dropship-only.
- Check the Dropship-Only checkbox on the right side.
- Click Save. Once a product is marked dropship-only, its orders won't be set as backorders.
Kits & Dropship-Only Items
Sometimes a kit you sell includes products that are dropship-only. If that's the case, here's what to do:
- Kit containing one item that is NOT dropship:
- The non-dropship item will still be shipped by the system. If you don't want it to ship from your 3PL facility, delete its details from the kit.
- Mark your products as dropship-only in the Portal so that all kit components stay dropship when you're fulfilling them — this avoids double shipping and delays.
